Taking Business Opportunities
Business Opportunities can arise at random times throughout your life. What you need to do is find them and take those opportunities. It could be anything from a person actually coming up to you and asking if you want to start a business with them to little skills you learn that you can use to help you. Even if is not very noticeable it can still lead to success. A good businessm
an can make the best even out of a bad opportunity. Obviously, he or she won’t succeed every time. So make sure not to spend too much money on the idea. Ideally, you should only take opportunities that don’t cost anything. You wouldn’t want to be scammed or just fail and lose a lot of money.
So, how has this applied to my life recently? An area that I am very interested in is internet business. I have looked at trying to make games to put online to make money from for a long time. My school offers a game development class and so I took this opportunity and now I will learn more and more about making games online. I use to play games on a site called Kongregate. This site also had a section for developers of games. You could submit your game to the site and make 50% of the revenue for the ads. I was always interested in that and tried making a game but failed completely. Now, I can learn how to make a game and then I can start a new business making games. That’s how I made the best out of an opportunity.
Making the Best of an Opportunity in a business sense is simply taking a skill or something you have to do and trying to make money or a business from it. By making the best of an opportunity, it opens a new realm of income. This also can give more exposure to your business. This exposure is great for business and can bring in new customers and more revenue. In my case, I can now add a new asset to my business. This new asset allows a new niche of customers, who might be even be interested in other assets of your business. All together this just works on getting more traffic and money.
How can I find an opportunity? That’s a question you may be asking. You know that you need to make the best out of an opportunity, but you don’t know how to find an opportunity.
Well these are the ways you can:
- Take a class, if you’re a student, at your school that will help you. For example my Game Development class allows me to get the knowledge to start a new asset in my business. Also another example is that I’m also taking a digital photography class. Although I don’t have Photoshop, so I can’t actually apply it now. I can still use it some other time, when I can get it.
- Search around the internet. There are plenty of eCourses or eBooks that you can take and order to learn more about the stuff your interested in. For example, an eBook I got on how to write eBooks, has helped me a ton even though I haven’t taken action yet. Check out that eBook here. (Also check around that blog, it’s a very interesting site.
- Join in Forums. Forums can be very helpful as you chat with people who are in the same niche as you. They can help with all your problems, new content you can write, and other great tips. For example Lisa’s blog for Webmasters. I go there and talk with other Webmasters about how to monetize your blog, get more traffic, and other hot topics.
You’ll never become a high up internet businessman if you can’t make the best out of opportunities. The same goes for if you can’t find opportunities. There are going to opportunities in many places. So you’ll have to sort through them to find the ones that work for you. But if you do that, in the end, it’ll all work out and your business has the chance for success.
New Direction

How often do you guys change your mind? I would expect most people to say that they change their mind a lot. This normally happens when something changes unexpectedly. For example if you get fired, you might change your mind on how much you like the boss. Another example would be if you get a promotion, you might change your mind about quitting or searching for another job to make more money. The point is that everyone changes their minds at one point or another. This change of the mind can really mess up what you are working on. So what is this all leading up to. If you haven’t already guessed it, I changed my mind.
What was the change? Well, it’s related to this blog and the title of this post says it all. If that isn’t clear I will say it more clearly. I have changed my mind on what direction to go in with this blog. Before I wanted to post explanations to certain aspects of business, that I feel that everyone should know. That was going to be the main focus of this blog. Well, not anymore. Now this will become a side thing and will only be the main focus of a few posts.
What caused the change? My cousin and I were talking about how we both want to make money, but we didn’t really know how. I came up with the idea of making T-shirt designs and using a website(this website will be explained in a later post) to sell them. This would provide us with a great opportunity to make some money, with little to no costs. That is the big thing at our age. Little or no costs. Both of us being in high school limits the money we have and what we’ll be willing to spend. So the idea we came up with needed to be cheap or better yet free. As of right now, I believe it is a free project but I don’t know if some expenses will come later. We have not opened up shop yet. We have some designs made, but we live far away and really want to talk in person before submitting any designs. This will be the first step in our business that will mainly be built upon art, mostly photography and T-shirt designs.
How does this relate to the blog? Well, this blog will basically become a journal where I will write about what we do to create this business and improve it. In each post, there is sure to be something that you can learn. I will post about mistakes, so you won’t make them. I will also post about triumphs so you know how we did it. I will also try to have monthly or maybe weekly posts on earnings and projects. But this will become the main focus of this blog. I know I love to read about other businesses; it fascinates me. I take tips from them and use them for my own benefit. I hope that all of you can do the same thing with my posts about business.
What should you do? I personally would love any advice from anyone out there. Although I am writing a blog about entrepreneurship and now am making a business, I am by no means a professional. I hope to perfect the skills I have and acquire new ones during this whole process with you, my readers. So anything you guys want to do to help would be greatly appreciated. But on the other side, I am here to help you guys. So don’t be shy to write a comment to any post. I will be sure to respond as soon as I can. I will help in any way I can. I want this to become a community of people that help each other and reap the benefits from it.
So I hope this does not disappoint anyone. I really enjoy reading about other businesses, so I hope you do too. This will surely be a slow and hard process, but I hope to be earning money soon. Even if it’s a small amount, every dollar counts. That’s your first lesson. Every dollar counts. You could need that dollar for something for your business or to keep yourself in a house. So with every dollar counting, wasting money is a serious no-no. You must use it all for the right stuff at the right time. But don’t worry if you make a mistake, we all do.
Start Learning Business!
Hello, Reader. Welcome to Simply Learn Business, where my goal is Simply to teach everyone about business while learning more myself. I currently am taking an entrepreneurship course online and I wanted to share things that I have learned in the class.
What is my goal? Simply just teach and learn. I will teach the things that I do know about business. But I am far from an expert and will learn from others.
A Little Background On Me
I am a high school student that has always been very interested in business. When I was little I made little businesses with drawings, which is funny because I am terrible at art, then I sold them to my family. This was just one of schemes to try to make money when I was very little. Another example was when I was around 9, I wrote a contract to the small business my Dad works for. This contract was about advertising space on each of our products. Obviously, it wasn’t a success, but it made my Dad’s boss give me a note saying that he would love to have me as a worker when I hit 18. Who knows if it was serious or if it’s still on. But either way I impressed a pretty high level businessman.
What Is Business?
A Business by definition are is a legally recognized organization designed to provide goods and/or services to consumers.(definition from m-w.com) I view a business as an opportunity to provide a service or product while working as your own boss. Having a business can be very rewarding but also is a lot of pressure. More of this will be explained in later posts. But I see Business as an opportunity to work with something you like.
So I hope you know what this blog is going to be about. I also hope you come back often to check the new content and advice. Feel free to comment this post or any post if you have any questions
Delays can at the least disrupt the progress of a business. These delays may even destroy a business. Delaying a product, idea, or any other part of a business can end in unrest in the public. Just think of the new video game or iPod getting delayed. Doesn’t that annoy you to no end? Well, try to avoid that whenever possible.
